Our current turnaround time is anticipated to be 2–4 business days up until the end of next week. However, if we can do it faster we will!

Please help us keep things fair for everyone! We understand you may need your order right away, but so does everyone else. At this time, we aren’t able to accommodate priority requests.

Once shipped, please allow an additional 2–4 business days for your chosen carrier to deliver.

Carrier Pick-Up Times:
• Canpar picks up first thing in the morning.
• All other carriers typically pick up between 1:00–3:00 PM daily.
If you select Canpar and your label is created around noon, your shipment will not be collected until the next weekday morning.

Canpar is especially slow right now. On average, FedEx and Purolator Express are the fastest options.

🌎 Attention US & International:
UPS is currently showing the most delays. For the fastest service, please choose FedEx Priority.

From years of experience, we want to give you the heads up.

The holiday volume is upon us! 

Order much earlier than you normally would and then sit back with a warm drink because you won’t be stressed by shipping delays!

What to expect from Stones and Findings:

EXPECT AWESOME: OUR AVERAGE TURNAROUND TIME IS 24-48HRS

For example, if you order on Wednesday, we will have a shipping label and tracking number by Friday!** If this time frame changes, we will notify you on our homepage.

* Turn around time is based on business hours 

** Note that carrier pick ups vary throughout the day. We may create your Label in the afternoon, but the carrier may have already picked up for the day. Your order will be picked up on the next business day.

To keep things fair and efficient, we process all orders on a first-come, first-served basis – it’s the FASTEST way to keep everything moving. Please understand that we’re not able to move orders ahead in the queue. We recommend placing your order early to avoid any stress or delays.

We’d love to hear from you, but please email rather than call. We have a team of four handling emails, but only one person answering the phone. Sending your questions by email ensures they reach the right person and you’ll receive the most accurate response as soon as possible. Thank you for your patience during this busy season.

What to Expect from Shipping Companies:

Please note that all listed ETAs are estimates only and not guaranteed by the carriers. This includes what you see at check out AND the carrier listed ETA on their tracking page.

Based on previous years, delays of 3-4 additional business days are common.

These estimates do not include our processing time, so please plan ahead!

🇺🇸USA Customers:

Please expect potential delays due to high shipping volumes and customs clearance. Recent and ongoing changes to customs regulations may also cause additional holds at the border, which could require further information from either us or you.

We recommend monitoring your tracking information closely.
If there is no movement for more than one business day, please email us and we will follow up with the carrier on your behalf.

If you have a Tax ID or EIN, please include it in the Order Notes to help expedite customs clearance, especially for high-value shipments.

FedEx Express is recommended for the fastest and most reliable service.

 🇨🇦Canadian Customers:

Please expect delays due to high shipping volumes and the ongoing Canada Post rotating strike.

All carriers in Canada are currently experiencing heavier-than-normal demand as they absorb shipments that would typically go through Canada Post.

Although Canada Post is not listed as a shipping option, it is available upon request. Please note that shipments sent via Canada Post may take several days to weeks longer than usual to arrive.

If you are in a rural area and have a PO Box, please update your address to your street address to view available carrier options. 

However, if you live in a remote area serviced only by Canada Post, you may still experience longer-than-normal delivery times.

For remote locations, please also be aware:

Some carriers may transfer your shipment to Canada Post for the final leg of delivery, which can cause lengthy delays.

Other carriers may only deliver to the nearest depot, which could be a short drive or much farther from your location. We recommend confirming delivery options with your chosen carrier before placing your order.

Toronto customers – the last day for office pick-up before Christmas is December 23rd.

Purolator Express and FedEx Express are recommended for the quickest service.

All Carriers are utilizing their sorting facilities across the country to help alleviate the backlog at Ontario sorting facilities. You may see that your parcel is in New Brunswick or Alberta- Don’t Worry! This is just to sort and will be on it’s way to you soon!

International Customers:

Please expect delays due to high shipping volumes and customs clearance.

If you have a Tax ID or EORI, please include it in your Order Notes. For customers in the EU, a Tax ID or EORI is required to process and ship your order.

Every country has different customs regulations. We recommend monitoring your tracking information closely. If there is no movement for more than one business day, please email us and we will follow up with the carrier on your behalf.

* Fedex Express/Priority are recommended for the quickest service.

Pro Tip: All carriers prioritize Express Shipping. For faster delivery, we suggest selecting the express option from your preferred carrier.

*Our recommendations are based on previous years’ information. Delays may still occur even when following these suggestions.

Canada Post on Strike as September 25th 2025.
Sept 26th 2025

We have suspended our Canada Post Shipping option until further notice. Service will be reinstated once the strike has ended. Unfortunately, there is currently no confirmed end date.

  • For customers who selected Canada Post and whose orders have not yet shipped:
    We will reach out directly to provide alternative shipping options.

  • For customers whose orders are already in transit with Canada Post:
    Please note that these packages will remain on hold until the strike concludes. They are not considered lost, and insurance claims cannot be processed during this time. All packages will eventually be delivered once operations resume.

If you have an order that is currently delayed in transit, and you require a replacement sooner, we are happy to offer you free Canpar Ground shipping on your replacement order.

Please note that our average Turnaround time may be longer than usual as we work through moving purchase CP labels to other carriers.

Suspension of De Minimis entry to the US -Starting August 29
Aug 29th 2025

USPS and International Tracked (postal) shipping options suspended until further notice:

As of August 29, 2025, the De Minimis rule—which previously allowed orders under $800 USD to enter duty-free—has been suspended for all packages crossing the U.S. border.

Due to the new regulations, we have temporarily suspended USPS shipping to the U.S., as well as our International Tracked (postal) option, since these shipments cross through the U.S. before continuing to their destinations abroad. But don’t worry! We are still shipping with established carriers – Fedex, UPS and Purolator!

We are actively researching solutions and hope to reintroduce USPS shipping options in the future. However, since these regulations are still very new, reliable information on tariff collection procedures—without the de minimis rule—is not yet readily available.

For our American Customers:

We will continue covering all tariffs by pre-paying them before shipping to you. 

This ensures your experience remains easy, seamless, and free of surprises—the price you see is the price you pay. Our goal is to minimize disruptions during these volatile times while awaiting better long-term solutions from carriers. While we have made a slight price adjustment, we are covering the remainder of the costs.

To help avoid unnecessary stress, we encourage you to place orders early and budget for a little extra stock. Both American and overseas factories anticipate shortages due to the significant movement of raw materials across borders.

Additionally, all carriers have announced potential delays as they adjust to new customs regulations. Please allow for longer-than-usual clearance times. While carriers provide estimated delivery dates, these do not include customs delays, which may extend transit times.

To our International Customers:

The majority of international carriers have their shipping hubs located in the US. Although the removal of the De Minimis does not affect international shipping, the increased pressure on customs officers at the Carrier hubs may cause delays for your shipments as well.  Please order ahead of time.

Important Shipping Update for Canadian Customers

Due to high demand, we are once again offering Canada Post shipping within Canada. Please note, however, that Canada Post remains under an overtime ban and faces the possibility of a strike with little notice. If a strike occurs, your shipment may be delayed until service resumes. While all parcels are fully insured, we cannot reship items held during a strike, as they are not classified as lost.

For time-sensitive shipments, we strongly recommend choosing an alternative carrier.

Please also be aware that FedEx, UPS, Canpar, and Purolator are experiencing higher package volumes as many customers avoid Canada Post. This may lead to unexpected delays across all Canadian carriers, with even longer delays likely if a Canada Post strike takes place.

Signature Required for Delivery:

Please note that all our shipping options now require a signature to deliver your parcel. 

If you would like to waive the signature requirement, please contact our staff, and we will provide you with the terms and conditions for this option.

Due to the high value of our parcels, we want to make sure the insurance covers any potential loss. Although your order is fully insured, the insurance is only valid up until the time the carrier marks the package as delivered. 

Any damage or loss that occurs after delivery (e.g., weather exposure or localized theft) is not covered by the carrier’s insurance. Unfortunately, localized theft has become a concern in many areas, including rural locations.

By keeping the signature requirement, you can be confident that in the rare event of a carrier-related loss, we will be able to claim insurance on your behalf and reship your parcel.

Our commitment to you

We are continuing to ship your parcels within our speedy 24-48hr time frame.  However, please be aware that your chosen carrier may not deliver as quickly as usual.  If you experience any issues with tracking or delivery, we are happy to contact the carrier on your behalf.

Canada Post Vote to Strike and DHL Canada Potential Strike
June 18th 2025

Due to the possibility of a Canada Post strike, we are still not offering Canada Post as shipping option. There will be a vote in the upcoming days. We are hopefull the the vote will result in no strkien and this shipping option will become available again. 

Due to the possibility of a DHL Canada strike, we have disabled our DHL as shipping option. If a strike it to occur, we hould know by June 20th. We will continue to motinot the situation and update here. 

Potential Canada Post Strike still looming
May 28th 2025

Due to the possibility of a Canada Post strike, we are still not offering Canada Post as shipping option. We are keeping an eye on the situation and hope for a speedy resolution.

Potential Canada Post Strike planned for May 22, 2025
May 13th 2025

Due to the potential Canada Post strike, starting May 22nd, we have turned off Canada Post shipping option for our Canadian Customers. If Canada Post (CP) does strike on May 22nd, all packages that are in transit will be help until the strike ends. We are turning off our CP shipping option now to prevent any packages from being stuck in limbo. 

If you still wish to have your package shipped through CP, leading up to May 22nd, please contact Sales@stonesnadfindings.com. Please note that we cannot refund or replace shipments stuck in a strike. 

We currently have Purolator as a shipping method in Canada, and we are working on have more options soon. 

Please note that a Canada Post strike only affect Canadian Shipments. This strike will not affect International or US shipments from Stones and Findings. 

March 28th 2025

This is a friendly reminder that our announced price increase will begin on Monday, March 31, 2025.

We anticipate that all prices will be updated by the end of the day on April 3, 2025.

We still hope that Canada and the U.S. will reach an agreement to lift all tariffs!  However, we have already started taking proactive steps to ensure a stable supply of high-quality components for our customers worldwide. Stay tuned for upcoming announcements and exciting new designs in the weeks ahead.

Discontinued USA-Made Items

Please note: These discontinued items will NOT be subject to tariffs when re-entering the USA.

We are discontinuing certain items due to factory price increases that make them too costly to continue offering. If tariffs are withdrawn and metal prices stabilize, we will consider bringing back these popular pieces

Current Tariff Status

  • As of now, there are NO TARIFFS on Canadian-made products entering the USA.

  • This will change on April 2, when the U.S. government is expected to announce worldwide tariffs.

  • Stones & Findings currently covers all U.S. and Canadian tariffs, and we will continue to do so until April 2, when we receive further updates from the government.

We are actively working on solutions to minimize disruptions for our U.S. customers:

 Direct Shipping: We’re collaborating with our American partners, suppliers, and factories to develop cost-effective shipping options that bypass Canada.

 Italian Production Expansion: We are increasing production in Italy, known for its exceptional quality. Italian-made goods are currently taxed 5.5% when entering the USA and 0% when entering Canada. If U.S. tariffs on Italian goods remain unchanged, we will continue to cover this cost for you.

 Stable Pricing & Supply: Our goal is to keep our prices as stable and competitive as possible while ensuring a reliable supply chain—so you can focus on growing your business.

Price Increasing March 31

For as long as possible, we maintained steady prices by stocking up before tariffs took effect.

However, we have received notices from ALL of our factories and suppliers that costs will be rising significantly.

Due to these unavoidable increases in metal and labor costs worldwide, as well as new tariffs, we must adjust our prices accordingly –  starting March 31

Items made in the USA are now subject to tariffs upon entering Canada (but they remain tariff-free when shipped back to the USA).

The combination of rising costs and tariffs has made it uneconomical for us to continue offering all of them. As a result, we have made the difficult decision to DISCONTINUE these popular products for the foreseeable future. We hope tariffs get lifted and prices come down, until then, NOW is the time to stock up!

To our American Customer: We will continue to cover duties on all non-American made products until April 2nd.

We are also working to find American artists who can wire wrap beautifully, economically, and reliably. Once we do, we will connect them to our American customers.

Note on Sunstone and Micro Welders 

For all our American and overseas customers: welders will be drop-shipped directly from Sunstone Engineering in the USA, so there will be no Canadian tariffs.

For all our American customer: We are continuing to offer free shipping to all of our American customers.

For our Canadian customers: we had stocked up on welders before the 25% tariff was implemented by the Canadian government. We will ship from our office, and as always, our welder prices include shipping and any tariffs.

Sunstone is the only factory that has not announced a price increase in March, but as raw materials are becoming more expensive, we predict that they will likely have to increase prices in the upcoming months. 

Sunstone micro welders remain the best in the world. They are the only ones with full safety certification, which is required for commercial insurance policies in Canada and EU countries.

For all those who are familiar with Sunstone Engineering, you would know that they have been highly supportive of everyone wanting to fulfil their dream of owning a small permanent jewelry business.  They have put together the Permanent Jewelry Expo and sponsored many events for knowledge sharing, as well as provided the best customer support in the industry.  The CEO of Sunstone Engineering, Jonathan Young, has written to us and reaffirmed their commitment to the PJ community and the wellbeing of entrepreneurs around the world.  We will be sharing more information on the upcoming PJX 2025 soon.

As of March 4th 2025, The US administration has officially implemented 25% tariffs on Canadian goods.
 
The Canadian government has announced that they are implementing retaliatory tariffs on US imports – effective immediately.
 
This is terrible for EVERYONE! But we are prepared.
 
We, at Stones And Findings, had prepared for this by stocking up at the last announcement and during the 30 day tariff pause. We hoped that calmer heads would prevail, but here we are.
 
Prices will increase with upcoming shipments – regardless of country of origin.Precious metals may be harder and more expensive to source for manufacturing. The US administration has already announced that they will review EU tariffs next.
 
We will try our best to keep prices as low as we possibly can, but recommend that you stock up.
 
For our US Customers – we are continuing to cover Custom/Duty charges with our DHL and Purolator/UPS shipping options for the next two weeks (until March 17th), to minimize disruptions and give everyone some time to adapt. Please note that you may incur custom clearance charges with our USPS option.

After talks between President Donald Trump and Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, there will be a pause on proposed tariffs for 30 days.

We will take advantage of this short reprieve to ship orders furiously, while we look for more permanent solutions, if and when the pause is lifted.

We expect to resume normal shipping to our American customers, as we have always done, for the next 30 days. We anticipate border and courier delays due to higher than normal volume as businesses, on both sides of the border, scramble to stock up and secure supplies.

We will honor our original offer of covering customs for all Purolator/UPS and DHL until February 9th.

Starting February 4, 2025 US President Donald Trump will be implementing a 25% tariff on most Canadian goods. Trump’s proposed tariffs would mark the end of more than 35 years of seamless trade and disrupt the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA), which replaced NAFTA in 2020.
 

We are not entirely sure how the new tariffs are going to affect our shipments being sent to US addresses. We wanted to send a quick message to assure our beloved American customers and friends that we value our relationship with you!  Everything else is just politics and we will work hard to navigate this BS. 

From February 3 to February 9

To ease into the new requirements, Stones and Findings will be covering any potential duties charged due to these new tariffs- to shipments being delivered to the United States through DHL or Purolator/UPS. This will only be offered until February 9th 2025 Midnight EST.
 

Please note, it is expected that customs clearance will take longer than usual to adjust to the new laws and requirements.

USPS Shipments: At this time, we are NOT able to reverse-charge potential tariffs to us, when using USPS, so that we can cover them. Hence, any potential tariffs  on USPS shipments will be the responsibility of the purchaser. 

Levied customs charges will be the responsibility of the purchaser starting February 10th, regardless of shipping method.

To All Our Customers Worldwide

 
We greatly appreciate your business and loyalty. If the Canadian government decides to implement retaliatory tariffs on goods coming in from the United States, this will affect the cost of gold-filled and other American made products which we carry.  This will, in turn, affect the cost to ALL our customers – regardless of country. 
 

Until we have further information on retaliatory tariffs on American products, we will have a price freeze on gold-filled for this week (ending February 9th). However, an increase is guaranteed if new tariffs are made into law. 

We will continue to keep you updated as we find out more information. Updates will be available on our website. We will send a new email once we know the full effects of what will be expected with these new tariffs and potential tariffs implemented by the Canadian government.

We recommend that you hold more stock for your upcoming events than you would normally.  Not only will tariffs mean taxes and delays, it also means metal prices will soon jump as a response to the uncertainty.  Please place orders by Feb 9 2025 Midnight EST, to guarantee current prices, available stock and, for our American customers, covered duties at customs.
