Setting Up a Pop-Up Shop: Part 6 – Display Trays, Inserts and U-pins

Displaying jewelry on materials such as driftwood or cushions always looks gorgeous, however, when you want to set up and tear down a pop-up shop, or trunk show, quickly and you factor in transportation time it’s best to use jewelry trays.  They’re stackable and allow for standard lightweight inserts. These inserts come in standard white or black velvet, and even with Velcro material.  However, you can also wrap these inserts with non-standard colours and fabrics.

In this video, we’ve wrapped them in white shantung silk and ribbon with the designer’s name embroidered on it. To keep the jewelry from moving about during transportation, and to keep the chains from tangling as customers touch the pieces, we use U-pins.  They’re very useful in keeping jewelry in place and helps with theft prevention, they’re not only inexpensive but are highly useful tools of the trade.
