Synthetic Opal: 4mm pointed back. The bezel height exceeds the bezel by roughly 0.8mm. Although you can feel the point at the back of the charm, it is mostly unnoticeable against the skin.
Synthetic Opal Composition:Â This is made with Nano Crystal, also know as ceramic glass. This material is created through a flame sintering process which consists in heating a powder and stop the heating just before the powder comes to fusion. As a result of heat and pressure, the grains aggregate and form a solid mass. Nano is mostly made of silica (SiO2) and alumina oxide (Al2O3), supplemented by different other oxides such as titanium oxide (TiO2) and magnesium oxide (MgO). This composition ensures an excellent resistance to scratches and abrasion, along with a great durability. This is lead free.
