Some people find wire wrapping briolettes (top drill drop stones) very difficult and intimidating. Here is a very easy alternative!
Some might like the look of coiling the wire on top of drops, but if you don’t care for it or want to hang the drop from a fancy hoop or ring, here’s a video for you.
Simply take a piece of wire, thread the drop, pinch the two ends together, with the drop in the middle. I like to pinch closer together just above the tip, but it’s a matter of preference. Hold the drop in place below the ring, wherever you want, and wrap the wires around the ring. It is easiest to fold the wires over the ring to hold the spot. Each time you bend the wire, it helps further secure the drop, so it is a good idea to remove any slack and pull tightly before the next loop.
