Slip On Adjustable Bracelet – How-To Jewelry Tutorial with Silicone Bead

This video will show how to make a sliding adjustable bracelet using a silicone bead charm.

The silicone filled bead has a hole through which a thin chain can pass.  Here I am using a 1.2mm gold filled cable chain.

Wire wrap the silicone charm bead permanently onto a piece of chain.

Do not cut the chain until you’ve measured and tried it on.

If you want to add beads onto the chain so they slide, do this before threading the chain through the silicone bead.
To guide the chain through the bead, simply use a thin wire, pass through the tip of the chain and fold over into a needle.  This is an excellent technique for threading soft materials such as elastic, ribbon and leather.

If you wish to have a clasp, you can attach one end of the clasp onto the chain (instead of wire wrapping the chain directly onto the silicone bead), and a jumpring onto the silicone bead.  In this way, the chain can be opened near the silicone bead.
